Virtually Off Your List!, LLC is a Virginia-based company providing web site design, hosting and marketing support services to small and home-based business owners. Our mission is to help small businesses succeed by offering high-quality web site, marketing and contact management services at affordable prices.
By handling the technically-advanced web site and marketing tasks, we enable entrepreneurs to focus on growing their businesses without acquiring the technical skills and resources needed to establish and maintain an on-line presence and/or a consistent marketing campaign.
Meet Our Technical Team
Cindy Steele
President
Cindy began her career in Software Design and Development over 25 years ago. After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, she was hired by the Tennessee Valley Authority as a computer programmer. She advanced in that position and eventually took System Analyst, System Architect and Software Project Management roles at TVA, Lockheed-Martin Marietta and other companies in East Tennessee.
When the World Wide Web began offering opportunities to programmers and other “techies”,
she switched her focus to web site development. Cindy has worked as a web developer and
software project manager in Washington, D.C. and the Shenandoah Valley in Northern Virginia. In 2004, she earned the PMP
(Project Management Professional) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
As President of Virtually Off Your List!, Cindy guides the day-to-day operations of the company. She keeps things running smoothly by combining her software design and development skills with a Project Management approach to the company's development projects. Cindy's hobbies include quilt design, organic gardening and writing.
Norman Steele
CTO
As one of the first Computer Science graduates from Syracuse University, Norman has a long and successful history in the field.
His career accomplishments cover many areas in computer science, including systems architecture, software and web development, and internet security.
Norman developed and sold one of the first automated software testing tools in the nation and has always approached software projects with a focus on quality. As a consultant in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia, Norman has helped many companies resolve technically challenging software and security issues.
As the Chief Technical Officer for Virtually Off Your List, LLC., Norman maintains the security and technical standards for all of the software developed by the company. In his spare time, Norman plays the guitar and works in his photography studio.
James Lucas
Editor/Photographer
James has been working in news media for 5 years, gaining experience in video and photo editing as well as copy writing. After graduating from the University of Idaho with a degree in Digital Media Production, he began his career by working as an editor/photographer for KREM 2 TV in Spokane, Washington. In 2006, James moved to Charlottesville, Virginia where he works as a photojournalist.
James' hobby is freelance videography. Among his favorite projects are the videos he produced for the Arial Foundation, a non-profit organization that designs and builds quality housing in under-served areas of the world.
